As reservation border towns close access to non-residents, Native People should see this as a reason to become self sufficient.

We should no longer depend on border towns to fill our needs. A practice that has made us dependent and easy prey. This pandemic should be a time for us to open our eyes and demand that our leaders give us land to open stores run by Natives.

  1. The Hopi Tribe has always been afraid to invest in businesses that would be beneficial to all people living in the immediate area.
