The Chief Executive Officer will report to the Director of Field Operations. The Chief Executive Officer exercises direct line responsibility and full accountability for managing all activities in the Hopi Service Unit. This leadership responsibility is carried out within the broad Agency guidelines and full recognition of the professional and technical expertise possessed by subordinate managers and staff (i.e., health professionals and physicians).

  • Develops, establishes, and directs the implementation and execution of overall policies and procedures for the administration and operations of a comprehensive health care delivery system.
  • Identifies the changing needs of the beneficiary populations and initiates program improvements and modifications to meet them, to achieve Agency goals and objectives, while making the best possible use of available financial, human, and material resources.
  • Assumes a leadership role in developing personnel management policies for the health care system and in dealing with personnel actions which affect key employees or that may have possible serious repercussions.
  • Supervises the staff and manages their activities and work flow including timeline adherence, training on job responsibilities, workforce development, performance management, and ongoing support.
  • Establishes priorities for needed personnel, services, supplies and equipment, allocating available funds accordingly.
