Hopi Health Care Center – Contract Opportunity Information

Description

The Hopi Tribe (the “Owner”), Kykotsmovi, Arizona, will receive bids for the construction of an addition and renovation to The Hopi Health Care Center on the Hopi Reservation, Polacca, Navajo County, Arizona. The construction contract shall include selective demolition, landscaping, parking and sidewalk improvements and miscellaneous site utility work.

Bidding: Bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. MST on January 20, 2023, at Hopi Tribal Headquarters at 123 Main Street, in Kykotsmovi Village, Arizona, after which time they will be opened, read aloud and recorded. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Faxed or emailed bids are not allowed.

Contract Award: The construction contract will be awarded on a lump-sum basis. This advertisement for bids is not restricted to Indian Organizations and Indian-Owned Economic Enterprises; however, bid award will be in accordance with Hopi Tribal Fiscal Management Policy and Hopi Tribal Preference, 24 CFR 1000.48, 1000.50 and 1000.52. Firms wishing to qualify for Indian Preference must submit all required documents with their bid. Each bid must be submitted in accordance with Bidding Documents prepared by the Project Architect.

Additional Information: Every effort will be made to respond to questions regarding this project if requested in writing to the Project Architect at least 96 hours prior to the bid opening date.

Indian Preference by Subcontractors – Employment and Training: The successful bidder must provide Indian preference per Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) regulations and the Hopi Labor Code. All bidders must submit statements with their bid acknowledging they provide Indian preference.

Right to Reject Any and All Bids: This Advertisement for Bids does not commit the Owner to award a contract nor to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of Bids or to the procurement of supplies. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities and to readvertise when it is in the best interest of the Owner.

Pre-Bid Conference: A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Hopi Health Care Center Conference Room on Friday, December 16 at 10:00 a.m. MST. The purpose of this pre-bid conference is to acquaint the bidders with the project and site conditions. The Architect, the Owner, and representatives of various Hopi Tribal Agencies will be present to address specific questions regarding the project and respective bid documents.
