At 2:05 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, Holbrook Police officers responded to the area of Navajo Blvd., at the BNSF Railroad crossing regarding a male subject waving and pointing a handgun at several drivers seated in their cars waiting for a passing train. Witnesses reported the suspect was driving a white colored Ford pick-up truck with a “Beware of Dog” sign attached to the tailgate.
Officers arrived in the area and located a vehicle fitting the description provided by witnesses. Officers conducted a high-risk stop on the vehicle in the 100 block of East Bucket of Blood Street. The driver, identified as Lance Joe, 35, of Greasewood was detained. Video footage obtained from a 16-year-old victim showed Joe waving a pistol in the cab of his truck then exiting his vehicle, with the pistol and making threats toward the victim and his family. Witnesses said Joe pointed the handgun towards the victim’s truck and other drivers in the area.
