Without a permanent Director of Indian Health Services since January 20, 2021, the U.S. Senate has confirmed Roselyn Tso to the post on Wednesday. This comes after the abrupt departure of Rear admiral Weahkee once the new administration was in place.

Roselyn Tso is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and is a product of the Bureau of Indian Education schools. she has a bachelor of arts degree and a masters degree.

Prior to her new role, she served as the Director of Indian Health Service for the Navajo Area. This news is wonderful for the Native American community and shows the younger people what is possible with hard work, dedication, and drive.
