ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Facing a hard deadline, The Navajo Nation has only completed about 60% percent of the projects it had hoped to with money from the CARES Act.
The Navajo tribal government was granted $714 million. However, the money arrived more than 80 days late due to a legal fight with the White House.
Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez shared a preliminary budget report on CARES Act projects Friday.
“Power line projects, waterline projects, broadband, we’ve got some broadband towers going up,” he said.
