Gallup on lock down

New Mexico Governor, Michelle Lujan Grisham, enacts the state’s Riot Control Act in order to stop the spread of COVID-19 and dampen the curve. The town has been closed to all incoming traffic from Friday (5/1) through Monday (5/4).

As part of this order, all residents of Gallup are to remain home with the exception being emergencies. Further, all essential businesses are ordered closed from 5:00 pm to 8:00 am during the lockdown.

Unless you have a Gallup address, you will not be allowed into the city. Finally, people traveling on the I-40 through New Mexico will be prevented from stopping in Gallup for gas, food, and hotels.
