Presentation Title: Responding to the Rising Rates of Syphilis in Indigenous Communities
In this presentation, Dr Jorge Mera, MD, FACP, Indian Country ECHO Medical Director and Director of Infectious Diseases for Cherokee Nation Health Services (CNHS), highlights best practices for responding to the rise of syphilis rates in Indigenous communities. The session included an opportunity to engage in a didactic presentation focused on the epidemiology, diagnostic testing & screening, staging, and treatment of syphilis as well as an opportunity to join an upcoming Infectious Disease ECHO program.
