Dear Tribal Stakeholders,
The State Broadband Team hosted their monthly webinars for Tribes, ISP’s, and Nonprofits last week to talk about the BEAD Challenge Process. In short, Sandip Bhowmick reviewed what the BEAD Challenge Process is and what it will look like for our tribal stakeholders. Nicole Umayum, NTIA Federal Program Officer, talked about the 11 different types of challenges that can be submitted for review. The recording will be made available on the website this week, I will send the link as soon as it’s available, with more context for understanding.
More importantly, I wanted to share the following links for TWO meetings happening later today, the Governor’s Interagency Broadband Working Group Meetings, today’s meetings will cover “Infrastructure and Permitting” and “Mapping”.
